Through photography, I have an amazing photographic journal of all the wonderful people I have met.  I am also blessed to share in people's joys and their happiest days. I've loved taking pictures since childhood, and consider myself lucky to have fallen upon this talent.  I've had phenomenal opportunities, capturing personalities and milestones stateside, but also in exotic and breathtaking scenery around the world in parts of Europe, Vietnam, Bermuda, Liberia, and Mexico.

I am a new wife to my wonderful Jeff, who's been my rock and soulmate since 2006. We have a four-legged child, a puppy Diesel, that became more legitimate in October 2011. Originally from Mobile, AL, I am an Auburn University alumni where I studied Environmental Design. Though I've abandoned my career as a Landscape Architect, my creative muscles were formed at Auburn with design philosophy, late-night renderings and model-building, and no sleep. I'm forever a student, a shameless perfectionist, a night-owl, and a sucker for my family. Lucky for me, they understand that I dedicate many, many hours to photography, editing, and studying new techniques and latest photography styles.

In 2010, Atwell Photography was nominated for the 2nd Annual CHOZEN Awards for Best Artist in Atlanta.  Atwell Photography has also been featured and published in online and print publications, namely Urban Mainstream Magazine, Gemini Magazine, Padrisimo Magazine, Real Atlanta Magazine, and Atlanta Girl Magazine.  My images are used on book covers and CD covers - Robert Green's I Decided to be Blessed, Bill Hammons' Swim Like You Run and The Indoor Triathlete, and Erin Lilley: Camena de Angelus. Hartwell Apparel's 2011 sales catalogue and the summer 2011 product mailer feature Atwell Photography as well. I have had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people while working in Atlanta.  Notable shoots such as those with Lisa Price, CEO of Carol's Daughter and Frank Ski, radio personality of Atlanta's V103FM, are wonderful milestones, but any shoot where the client is satisfied is a joy and is equally fulfulling.

For the past years, I have had the honor of giving time, talent, and equipment to a great cause, photographing families at various shelters in and around the Atlanta region through an organization called Help Portrait.  Photo shoots are set up globally on one day in December where there is need, and photos are delivered to clients just in time for Christmas. The experience is beyond words, and I look forward to giving my time every December!
